Activities of the Intellectual Property Evaluation Center were discussed at Rospatent

Recently a joint meeting of representatives between the Federal Service for Intellectual Property and evaluation organizations was held to discuss cooperation issues within the framework of the FAPRID-based Intellectual Property Evaluation Center - a subordinate institution of Rospatent.

In July 2019, Rospatent proposed an initiative on the establishment of such evaluation centre supported by the Bank of Russia, which expressed its readiness to effectively interact with the new structure.

The purpose of establishing the evaluation center is to increase professional competence on evaluation and management of IP rights, to form common approaches to measuring fair value of IP rights and to increase the confidence of credit institutions in lending against IP rights, including small and medium businesses.
